Álvaro Martín de la Fuente, Gold Medal in the Spanish Dressage Championship, Young Horses

The Segovian rider Álvaro Martín de la Fuente has won the Gold Medal in the Spanish Championship of Young Dressage Horses held in Toledo on September 26, 27 and 28.

Álvaro Martín de la Fuente achieved a deserved victory with his 7-year-old horse ‘Dai Colori Vistosi’, which was the great sensation of the championship in its category, for colts between 7 and 9 years old. Álvaro Martín de la Fuente, who executed a beautiful Kur created for the occasion, won the three days of the test with the horse from Yeguada La Fuente. His mastery and good work made him worthy of the highest award, with an impressive final grade of 75.2%, taking five points ahead of the second classified.


Both the rider and his uncle and trainer, César de la Fuente Álvarez, from the Club Deportivo Hípico Aequima, have expressed their joy at the important victory achieved in the Spanish Championship of Young Dressage Horses as well as their satisfaction at being able to bear the name from the city of Segovia to the top in the world of horse riding.


The contest has had a large influx of participation, about 150 copies of different breeds, and everyone has underlined the quality of the competitors, which shows the boom in our country and guarantees the future of this discipline.


With this medal there are already two that this year the Segovian riders belonging to the C.D.H. Aequima and trained by Cesar de la Fuente, since Carla de la Fuente de Pablos, won the gold medal in her category in the Spanish Championship for minors.
